Field Notes

Description:

medium tree with 3 inch crumpled-ridged leaves and green/yellow fruit similar in size to a grapefruit but color and taste of a lime with dense collection of seeds around the center.

Notes:

pummelo was suggested, but a local stated that it's a type of lime, but a lime like I've never seen. I wish I could post more photos to show the leaves and inside of the fruit.

Thanks, for the suggestion, I thought maybe that too, but it's not a pomelo. I have to edit the spotting since I looked more closely and from a different angle and discovered that the tree I thought the fruit was on was wrong since the branches are actually reaching through the tree with the spear shaped leaves. I also spoke with a local today and he said that they were like a lime but used for drinks - sounds like lime to me.
