Field Notes

Description:

It has spines on its head, legs and sides. The spines on its head are a but longer than the ones on its legs and sides.

Habitat:

The place I found it has cooler temperature since it is located in the forest. It seemed to be staying on the ground under dry leaves.

Notes:

I spotted it at our property in the forest at Mt. Manduasin in Brgy. Moto, San Dionisio, Iloilo, Philippines.

Species ID Suggestions

Obriminid phasmid.

Tisamenus serratorius

Thank you, Mark. It did look similar to the insects on Albert Kang's photos.
Oh and welcome to Project Noah. If you look through Albert Kang's collection you will find many stick insects. Great first spotting.
