Field Notes

Description:

Small turtle spotted stalking in the shallow waters of a small artificial lake in Cornubia, subtropical dry schlerophyl forest. Sadly only IPhone on me and reflections don’t help so I’ve got not much hope of it being identified. About 10cm long shell. Stayed underwater the whole time so this was all I could get of pictures.

Habitat:

Small lake in subtropical dry sclerophyl / eucalyptus and tea tree forest, near wetland.

Notes:

Apologies for the photos! I was just chuffed to see this little one on a brief stop over waiting for the dog kennel to open.
