Field Notes

Description:

Large dropping of some kind of mammal. It was about 5 1/2 inches long, segmented, and just big in general

Habitat:

Found in a swampy/marshy area by some deer and raccoon tracks. Looks too big to be a deer though. The tracks go through an open flooded area of grasses and cypresses into a more densely wooded area of cypresses, ferns, and coco plums

Notes:

It just looks too big to be a deer, which would otherwise be the logical answer. It even looks too big to be human. I would think bear, but I'm not sure. Please help me with this, because this looks like a big animal, and I'd like to be aware of its presence
