Description:

Unknown caterpillar which has been caught in a web and eaten by a spider. Any IDeas appreciated.

When caterpillars grow they shed their outer layer of skin much the same way that a snake does. This looks like one of those outer layers more than a whole caterpillar. Not sure what the species is, but it looks a bit like a black tussock of some kind?
