Delicate plant. 3-4 inches tall.

Habitat:

Found growing along a pond and near thistles.

Notes:

Is this Sweet Annie or wild carrot?

Well considering it would be highly unlikely a garden carrot would be just in with a pile of weeds, you could probably go with 'Daucus carota' the 'Wild Carrot'.
Very cool, and I'll be sure to pull it out of the ground next time to check. So, it seems unlikely that I'll be able to ID this spotting to the species level, right? Should I go with Daucus sp., Dane?
There's a native, wild carrot called 'Queen Anne's Lace'. They could be some of those, next time you see them pick one and smell, they should smell like carrot. There one of my favourite wildflowers.
Yeah, it does look similar to carrot greens. I'm not sure, though. There may be subtle differences. :)
