Description:

Long tailed garden lizard different from common house lizards usually found in the northern hot hilly parts of India especially in the months between September to march i,e during the winter season.The reptile is visible during day time only when the sun is on the brighter side. The peculiarity of the species is it's long tail almost double the length of it's body. The upper curve of the lizard is armored with white sharp small spike like structures to protect it from it's enemy.

Habitat:

Lives in thick vegetation and feeds on small insects from mosquitoes to small spiders. Loves to set in open sun for long hours. Not a shy reptile but hides when feels itself in danger.
