Wildlife Spotting

Some kind of wasp; a bit longer than a yellow jacket, more slender, very long legs... Had a hard time getting a picture, but a bunch of them have been hanging out on this blooming poison hemlock. I can't tell if they are eating nectar or looking for prey. They hover around constantly -- landing, then getting up and flying around again.
