Welcome to Project Noah! What a nice way to begin, with a Bold Jumper. This species is also called the Daring Jumping Spider (and sometimes Bold Jumping Spider). They are common in suburban settings and are one of my favorite jumping spider species. I hope you enjoy it here. There are many features of the site to explore. If you have not done so already, please take a few minutes to read through the FAQ page for general posting guidelines. http://www.projectnoah.org/faq If you have any questions, feel free to ask. :-) The metallic green or bluish-green color that you see on the face of this spider is the color of the mandibles. You can tell this one is a female because of her very large abdomen. :-)
