Lisa, I agree with you. This looks like a Limoniid Crane Fly. They are a bit smaller and more delicate looking than their big brothers and sisters. Familiy Limoniidae: http://bugguide.net/node/view/14937/bgpage I have a couple of lonely Limoniids posted here (they are the only identified of their prospective species here on PN), though they are not of the same species as yours: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/14131056 http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/14563468 You can see the family resemblance ;-)
