Field Notes

Description:

I found this at the shore behind my house as well, there are tons of live mussels! I need help identifying if there's a specific name for it and what the scientific name is!

Habitat:

At the rocky shore behind my house, there is tons of land and salt water as well as a lot of dense trees and other plant species. It is a part of the Atlantic Ocean. Located in D'Escousse, Nova Scotia.

Species ID Suggestions

Comments (1)

I would need someone else to confirm, but it's possibly a blue mussel, Mytilus edulis.
