Field Notes

Description:

Black aphids

Habitat:

These were found on the leaves of a young weeping cherry tree. There were quite a few ladybug larvae prowling the grounds, as you can imagine.

Notes:

The leaves on the cherry tree have curled in quite a bit. I have to pull on them to straighten them out/unfold them. Is this caused by the aphids?
