Field Notes

Description:

This small (approx. 1.5 inch) caterpillar was crawling on my back before a friend flicked it off. Judging by the colors and the thin hairs, I suspect I was lucky it didn't touch my skin.

Notes:

Seen on a hike to some waterfalls near the town of Sungai Medang, on the edge of the Kerinci Seblat National Park, Sumatra, Indonesia.
