A lingering moth next to my porch light on morning as I left for work. Have no idea what kind of moth this is.

You are welcome! I am just as amateur as everyone else, and was basing my suggestion on wing shape and general coloration. :)
I checked out both families of moths and it could belong to either one of them I guess. Can't find anything similar enough to match the fine parallel lines across the wings. But thanks you both for pointing me in the right direction XD
