It was half a joke, Emma. Extirpation is extinction in a particular area. I was just implying that House Sparrows are so populated, "extinction" is an odd term to apply to them. ;)
Liam ,don't extinct and extirpated mean nearly the same thing? In big cities like Bombay,there is a sharp decline due to microwaves etc.
Extinct? Or extirpated? I can't see House Sparrows going "extinct" in anyway. ;D
In some parts of the world they are becoming extinct.

Cute little floofy guy. =) Those are EVERYWHERE here in Oklahoma. Are they like that in the rest of the US?
