Hi ebonyandjoker and welcome to Project Noah. You might need a better shot of this one to hope for an ID. There certainly are black and many other types of ladybirds but this might also be another type of beetle like a 'leaf beetle'. Here's a gallery of some ladybirds from the CSIRO you could browse through http://www.ento.csiro.au/biology/ladybirds/imageGallery.php?pageNo=1 and here's some of the eucalyptus leaf beetles around the country https://www.google.com.au/search?q=%22eucalyptus+leaf+beetle%22&num=50&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=wKX8UuGBHcidkgWkn4C4Aw&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAQ&biw=1562&bih=875 There are even a few other types of beetle possibilities besides Chrysomelidae and Coccinellidae Have fun !!
