Description:

Large metallic dark-blue bumblebee. Wings opaque, feeding on celandine flowers. There were a few of them around and all very active.
Need ID.

Habitat:

Deciduous forest in spring.

Notes:

It might be Xylocopa violacea, but I'm not sure.
