Field Notes

Description:

I thought this was a paper wasp, but when I did some searching the Southwestern Texas Paper Wasps looked a lot like this except it had 2 yellow lines on the side of the black design on it's thorax. I tried to find one that looked exactly like this and failed. Any help?

Habitat:

Found drinking water by a lake.
