Description:

Found on playground in NW Iowa - looks like a type of roach - its about 3 inches long. It's a grayish color with green on its ventral side.

Does look like a type of roach - definitely a wretched looking creature. I've never seen an insect with forelegs that close to the head like that... which makes me think perhaps not a roach. I have an aversion to the roach-like creatures, so I haven't studied them... I will just be praying that whatever this thing is, it doesn't make its way to Texas. :)
