Thanks Keith. That's what I was thinking when I put perhaps Aphonus sp. What do you think of that genus?
Narrowed it down some sort of chafer beetle
Not sure but I see plenty in summer they love to eat sunflower leaves and rose leaves mabye that could help with I'd?

Dying to see what you find! :D I don't have a ton of spottings, but hopefully enough to carry through the winter. :) Not much spotting at all, almost everything is dead. But this morning, as I was photographing the sunrise, a heron flew by! I was so mesmerized, I forgot I had my camera!!
Wow, very cool! You must have a backlog of spottings to upload, eh¿ I can't see there being much spotting going on now.
