Field Notes

Description:

These specimens have about 5cm in height and 6cm in diameter.

Habitat:

These specimen was found in a grove that has a huge amount of organic matter deposited on the ground (including leaves, wood, insects... Litter!)

Notes:

They have dark spots that resemble other fungi.

I'm not sure, but the pleated cap and dark pruinose looking stipe make me think Marasmius. Did you smell the mushroom?
