Project Noah does not (intentionally) crop pictures which are uploaded. The originals are saved on a back-up server, then a Picasa program produces different sizes with the original proportions for display purposes. If the pictures has been cropped it may be worth trying to upload it again to see what happens, as it may have been a one-off glitch. It may also be worth switching browsers. If you are uploading from a mobile app, there are some phones which automatically crop pictures square, but that is not a PN problem.
With a rectangular photo, the whole critter was in the frame. After uploading, I was forced to crop it square which cut off the rear part. No biggie, but it would have been nice if it were possible to keep the whole photo after uploading (perhaps adding a border if the format must be square).
Hello gadgetshead. I'm not sure I understand about "the site" cropping your photo. Can you give more details?
Uh... my photo did include the head and the tail, but this site cropped it.
