Wildlife Spotting

Some of Florianópolis places have typical Atlantic ocean habitats which include different types of plants. In this particular case, while visiting Anhatomirim island, the intense red and cylindrical shape of these plant which grew right next to the shore called my attention.
I could not find the species.
