Description:

Found on a fallen oak branch along with ruffle lichen.

Notes:

Either Exidia glandulosa or Exidia nigricans. I think glandulosa but I'm not sure.

It may be the dead remains of "witches butter" the google image results look similar. I see the same type of thing in my woods in Mass
