Field Notes

Description:

Fairly large yellow spider we found in the back seat of my car! Including his legs he was about the size of a quarter and his body was close to a centimeter long. His legs were striped and his yellow back had red striped markings. The front half of his body was darker brown like the stripes on his legs. When we found him he looked like we had interrupted him beginning to spin a web. There were just a few lines of webbing around the head rest of the passenger seat back and he was dangling from the headrest. I had started driving before my kids realized he was back there with them and flipped out. When I pulled over to see the "giant" spider I found him clinging to the seat back. After taking his picture I kicked our little hitchhiker out of the car and sent him on his way tward our neighbors house lol.
