Description:

This spider was small in size hanging in the center of its web home and the wall behind matches the color of the web to make its web invisible.
Species: #araneusdiadematus from family araneidae (correct me if I'm wrong with species)

A very pretty, portrait photo....a very pretty spider....
this one is not jumping spider it must be some orb weaver
According to Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Araneus_diadematus, It is an orb-weaver spider found in Europe and North America. Since you spotted it in Chennai, this is likely some other species. I am no spider-expert but suggest you check Neoscona sp. The pattern on the back is reminding me of it. Good luck. This is a wonderful photo, so ID should not be difficult.
