Field Notes

Description:

This is a nymph of a horned katydid, probably a Copiphora species, found in La Selva Biological Station (Organization for Tropical Studies, OTS), in Sarapiquí, Costa Rica. Because this is a nymph, is difficult to know if the color pattern is same showed by adults, and make a correct identification.

Habitat:

Found on a tree in a trail. Is important to clarify that the green ribon, which slightly spoils the photo certainly, is a mark that investigators put to the trees and the insect casually was there. :-)
