Description:

While walking in the forest, this butterfly struggled past me and landed on a bush. It was in a terrible state, the wings all torn and tattered.
I wonder if this is the Schaus' swallowtail, Papilio aristodemus?
Vulnerable status in the US

Habitat:

Dry mountainous tropical forest
