It is shaped like the leopard frog, but merges withe the colours around like the common frog. I am confused.

Hi Vincent, I just spent quite awhile looking for an ID for this guy and it has me stumped. I agree with you 100% when you say it is like a leopard frog and a toad at the same time. Body shape and even the eyeballs say leopard frog, but the warty skin and dorsal stripe say toad. I always enjoy trying to ID all of your spottings, and I will keep trying with this one! Lovely spot!

Dear Phillip Torres, I saw a movement, but could not locate the frog which was near my feet. I saw it after some moments, only when it jumped.
Amazing camouflage! It must have been difficult to spot. Nice shots!
