Description:

Looks a little like Kale but lighter green. I thought it was lettuce but when I tasted it, my tongue started to tingle and go numb so I spit it out right away and did not swallow any.

Habitat:

Popped up in a flower bed.

Looks like kale to me. Not sure about the tingly tongue. Maybe it was a mature stalk?
