BUT... may I add.... NEVER EVER eat ANY wild plant, or any PART of a plant if you are not 200% postitive of it's identification!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ever. Just. Don't.
Dandelions may get a bad rap here in the US, but it is actually an incredible plant! Every part of it is edible; you can dip the lovely yellow blossoms in batter and deep-fry them like fritters, you can even make dandelion wine out of them. You can roast the roots and grind it up to make a bitter type of coffee. And of course you can eat the young leaves raw in salads or added to soups, or eaten like southern greens! I confess I am rather partial to Dandies!
