Interesting spotting! This is a Sphinx Moth Caterpillar, Sphingidae. I often have seen some with were parasited mostly by Braconid Wasps, Braconidae. But usually these parasited caterpillars look quite different with a lot of whitish cocoons on the body from where the wasp larva will hatch with then killing the caterpillar. But I never have seen such a fluffy "design", so I am not sure what organism it is parasited with. I cannot imagine something other than parasites. Let's wait for others to give their inputs into this one... https://www.flickr.com/photos/52450054@N04/8107476808 http://www.gettyimages.ch/detail/foto/sphinx-moth-caterpillar-covered-with-braconid-wasp-stock-fotografie/128624714?Language=de
