Description:

Wildflower with blue flowers on a long stalk. Leaves are oblong.

Habitat:

Sandy, longleaf pine forest in the midlands of South Carolina. Photographed at the Aiken Gopher Tortoise Heritage Preserve near Windsor (Aiken County), SC.

Notes:

This is one of the lupine species, possibly Sky-blue Lupine (Lupinus diffusus).
