Wildlife Spotting

These little guys are the bane of the garden, getting down in the crown of a plant and eating everything that sprouts, maybe even the roots. I believe they are an invader from Europe. Fortunately, raccoons find them quite palatable and do no damage to the plant while hunting them (which is probably why they like to hide under flower pots.
