Field Notes

Description:

Small group of large dark-red-brownish carpophores, with very dark-red stipes. Ring seems present, and the rests of veil too (white matter at ring height ???). Whitish dusty spores also visibles (pic N° 2).

Habitat:

Found in the middle of a small meadow in a town park/monument (Voltaire's Castle); just in between the permaculture model garden and wooded area.
