Wildlife Spotting

Reddish- burgundy color bulbs with green stem. I found it growing low to the ground, kinda like a moss or a vine. It has these bulbs that look like stars the way they are shaped. Some of the bulbs had bloomed into little white flowers. Found in Southern California park landscaped amongst drought resistant plants.
