Field Notes

Description:

They hide in the shade, I found these on a stick and I thought they were eggs and then when I looked closer and the sun hit them they all started running about! They are also an iridescent green/blue, they look like some kind of beetle but they are tiny, like the little shiny balls that go on cakes, I've also found them when I peeled a bit of bark off the gum tree (the branch I found them on was also a gum)...

Habitat:

Hiding in the shade in leaf litter and under bark.
