Invasive species warning! Probably a free-loader in a batch of free topsoil found on Craigs List. The Schlitz Audubon Nature Center here in Bayside has highlighted this mimic in its gallery of spring ephemerals. Notice the tuberouse structure: dig deep. Started blooming on April 30th here.
