Field Notes

Description:

Possibly Fly Agaric ( Amanita muscaria) but almost white with tan flecks on cap instead of yellow-orange. Very large, stem is 6-8” long and cap is 5-6” circumference.

Habitat:

Found in forest, slightly off trail in Jamestown, TN amongst deciduous and pine trees.

Notes:

This area contains at least 25 different types of mushrooms and lichen.
