Field Notes

Description:

Sting ray was approximately 3-4ft across, lighter in color. It was lighter in color, but not covered by sand, because it was first sighted on the turtle grass.

Habitat:

Seen at Barracuda Patch, off of Ambergris Caye, Belize. In 10-12 ft of water, near the reef on the grass.

Notes:

We had been seeing a bunch of southern rays in the area, but in my opinion it is too round and the tail is different, so I doubt that's what it is.
