Wildlife Spotting

This plant has golf ball sized, silky leaves with white fuzz on both the tops and bottoms of the leaf itself. The leaves varied between circular and oval shapes and were not in bunches. Each leaf branched out by itself from the stem. It has small, light purple buds that eventually open up to a small royal purple flower. The plant seen was no larger than 1 foot in height. It had a very slim stem, which appeared to be no thicker than a wooden pencil. The leaves have veins that make a diagonal curve (the veins aren't a straight diagonal). A few red ants were seen on the leaves of this plant. Other than that, no other fauna were spotted near or on this plant.
