Thanks everyone. I had also checked fruit chafer before you suggested but couldn't find a relation. Chiloloba is my another old spotting. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/6908450. However, this might be related to this spotting, in a different color...http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/7212139.
Rhabdotis aulica is found in Africa, so I was leaning towards Chiloloba, a species of beetle commonly found in India. Its scientific name is Chiloloba acuta. Unfortunately, I have no explanation for the golden specks found on your spotting. Nevertheless, this link looks much like your spotting. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chiloloba_acuta
It is a Fruit Chafer, but I'm not sure what the specific species is. Maybe an Emerald Fruit Chafer (Rhabdotis aulica)
