Mellicta aurelia

Grazie bayucca, ho postato un'altra foto della stessa farfalla e ti ho inviato foto con email, spero ti possa aiutare...Grazie
Actual taxon is Mellitaea aurelia and I would agree with this ID. However, I suggest that we take Mellitaea cf. aurelia as scientific ID, since the ID is not confirmed. I would not dare to confirm it myself, although I probably also would have IDed it as Aurelia. But we have several similar Melitaeini in Southern Europe and this tribe is very comlex and tricky to ID. Anyway good job, James! Michele, do you have a dorsal shot of it?
