Field Notes

Description:

Large moth with gray, brown, and black markings. Appears to have one white spot outlined in black on each wing. It was found fairly high on a brick wall so size was difficult to determine, but I would say it was about 2 (give or take a little) inches in length.

Notes:

This moth was spotted by one of our students upon coming in from recess. After doing some research I believe it may be a Waved Sphinx moth, but would like confirmation. All help is appreciated!
