Field Notes

Description:

Grey and white larvae with six brown legs. Brown spots down sides.

Habitat:

Lower elevation. Red sandy soil, lots of juniper trees, decent amount of water nearby. Heading up the emerald pools trail

Notes:

A friend of mine found this at zion national park. Thought I would help him identify it if anyone has any ideas.

This is my friend's picture so I don't know where he put it, but I'm sure he made every attempt.
To me it looks like it is ready to pupate.Did you return it to a safe spot?
