Field Notes

Description:

This caterpillar is as long and thick as my middle finger.

Habitat:

Found this caterpillar eating the leaves of my potted Vinca plants. As you can see in the photo, the plants are on the 2nd floor of my house and shaded.

Notes:

I have noticed that butterflies and moths love laying their eggs on my plants......they seem to always come back.

Species ID Suggestions

Oleander Hawkmoth

Daphnis nerii
