Great find! Definitely a moth in the Sphingidae family. I think what you have here is Agrius cingulata, based upon the patterning around the spiracles (the spots on the side, where the caterpillar respirates) and the overall coloration, but other angles may confirm the identification if you have any others. I have moved this to "arthropods" as the phylum Arthropoda includes insects.
