Field Notes

Description:

A 5 in. long pale grayish salamander with slightly mottled coloring, a small tapered head, and four back toes.

Habitat:

Wet ground and mud, under rocks and leaves, near streams.

Notes:

This one was found at Raven Run Nature Sanctuary. It was on the trail so I moved it off to the side. It was very lucky not to have been stepped on!
