Field Notes

Description:

Small sunbird, less than 10 cm in length. The adult male (pictured) appears all black above, except under the sunlight when the purple iridescence shows. Underparts are dark purple or dark violet.

Habitat:

Seen in dry hilly area of central Nepal.
