Description:

The big blind bat wings with a total length of 74 mm and a weight of up to 9.3 g, the largest species in the genus, which the females are heavier than the males (sexual dimorphism). The coat color of the big blind bat wings is black to dark brown with two bright wavy stripes on the back, ranging from the shoulder over the whole body. The belly is usually lighter than the coat on his back. The tail is slightly hairy flight skin to base of tail.
The males of the large sac-winged bat possess fleshy bags in their wing membrane, which is filled with a strong-smelling liquid. In females, these bags are only rudimentary. When full-grown, mature males the bag is flesh colored, while young males have dark bags. The Big bag bat wings differs from other members of their species by their size, the dark coat and the clear color separation of the light stripe over the rest of the coat.

Habitat:

The distribution of large sac-winged bat extends from southern Mexico to Brazil and Bolivia, where they are usually not at a height above 500 meters above sea level. M. occurs.
